Help me name my Dotee.

I left the opening in the wrong spot, boy it was hard to pull her right side out!

I finally made my 1st Dotee doll...she's not perfect but I did learn a lot from making her and hope to do better next time, I love her anyway.I didn't have the right material for her face so I used what I had. I do need a name for her though...so if you wanna help me name her, leave your suggestion in the comments and if I choose your name I'll send you a present. Not sure what yet...I might give you some choices and let you choose. If you'd like to meet the lady who brought us the dotee doll then click here.
Her tail needs to be tighter to her body.

I've also been making some gift tags. I thought I'd share them also....

This is my favorite, i found this tag on my closet floor, I really need to straighten up the closet. I ripped up an old Christmas card and used some tissue paper and this was the end result....I think I'll keep this one!

These are going to a swap partner from swap-bot.com. I think they are cute with there little Christmas characters. The blue one on the far left has a wreath on it, it's hard to see. The blue one at the far right has a puppy and kitten sleeping together.

These are 2 little simple one with poems on them.
I made these for my daughter, they have her inital on the black side of 3 of them. There's 3 with snowmen, she loves snowmen. The 3 with the initals also have LIVE,LOVE,LAUGH on the red side...which looks pink in these pics.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with these, they are all brown with the lil polka dots on the back and then the fronts have words on them. All of the cards are distressed.

Remember if you want a chance to win something , suggest a name for my dotee doll!!

I made my 1st Etsy purchase

I don't know why I waited so long...maybe for Christmas? Anyway, I was looking for something unique for my son-in-law and I found it at Creative Rampage, Amanda makes the coolest pendants! My SIL is a ICP fan and Amanda had a hatchet man pendant! She made it out of a dr pepper bottle top and he's going to love it...no doubt! She does beautiful work!
So go check Creative Rampage out and tell her Lisa sent you!

Also I' like to mention that my friend Sousonne has a drawing for 2 beautiful items, you don't have to be a friend to purchase a chance to win them. The chance cost only $1.50 and are well worth it. You can check her out here.

FRIDAY FIVE ~Quotes~

Over on Multiply we have a Friday Five group...I haven't posted on it in so long I was sorta embarrassed to post tonight BUT...I did anyway. I love quotes and that was the subject so I wanted to add it over here also...although no one reads this blog! :)

1.
A life watered by the tears of tragedy and suffering often becomes the most fertile soil for spiritual growth.

*I don't remember where I found this one and don't know who said it...if you do please let me know.*

2.
Life is to short for drama and petty things, so kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly. ~unknown~

3.

Sometimes your nearness takes my breath away; and all the things I want to say can find no voice. Then, in silence, I can only hope my eyes will speak my heart. ~Robert Sexton~
*This one was so true for me when I started falling for my husband*

4.
Footfalls echo in the memory, down the passage which we did not take, towards the door we never opened into the rose garden.
~T S Eliot~

5.
(Dreams) Permit each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every nite of our lives. ~William Dement~

and here's one to grow on....

Love is strange and mysterious.... just like jelly beans.

The escapee sheep and Crookedface.

Sorry about the quality of the pics, I took them with my phone so they aren't the best. Do you remember me talking about the sheep that lives on my moms property? You know the one who is an escapee from last Christmas from when her neighbors was going to EAT IT! Well it plays with the dogs all the time and right now it is in heat.....this is not a good thing! It thinks it's a dog Sooooooooo it has decided that moms dog Spirit AKA Crookedface can be her boyfriend, we know this is so not going to happen but the sheep has it's eyes on this poor lil down syndrome dog. I wish the pics were better so that you could see how he looks, he is so loving but there are no lights on upstairs where this DS dog is concerned.
I tried to get a pic of the sheep by itsself but it started running toward Crookedface and it was all blurry. She is really pretty and can't anyone catch her which is not so good cause she has this collar on that's getting tight. Next time I go I'll try to remember to bring my camera to get better pics. I'd love to get it playing chase with the dogs and record it! Ok I'm outta here, later.....

Anyone out there know anything about clock/radios?

I have this clock radio I was wondering if anyone out there might have some information about... I've had it for about 15 years and have no idea how old it is or how much it is worth. Any info at all would be appreciated!! Thanks!
The radio does work but the volume button is loose and I have to put a piece of paper behind it to tighten it up where the music can be heard. The second hand is missing and I think one of the other hands is bent so it won't keep time. It worked good until I moved home from Reno...then it quit. It is a Guild 6610 Old Timer.

You can see some better pics at this site....here Mine doesn't have the pendelum...think thats what its called.

Almost finished....I hope

This is the top to my wardrobe thingy. It's the only piece that was ruined where I'd have to replace it. Thankfully my FIL has a piece of veneer I can have to replace it. Apparently the lady that had it had loaded it into her truck and left it outside til the next day...and it rained! Oh well her loss is my gain.

This is the inside of the drawers. I decoupaged old hymnal pages and then went over them several times with stain. This was after just once with the stain.

This is behind the little mirrored door in the middle. I might have went a lil crazy with this one...too much decoupage?

Behind long doors that have the chicken wire. I put some heart and flower trim on edges and painted the inside a creamy yellow. I also put the hymnal pages on the shelves, not sure if that's going to stay or not yet....still pondering that one.

Before shelves were put in and those white pages were stained. There's no top on it right now so the lil archy thing (don't you love how I can't think of words) is off. I have some old material that looks like feed bags but isn't that I'm thinking of putting behind the chicken wire. Still pondering that one too.

I've just been lurking...

I really haven't disappeared. I've been working on the piesafe/chiffrobe thing. It's real close to being finished! I've also been lurking around and visiting folks.
I added sheet music to the drawers and shelves in the piesafe/chiffrobe thingy...I really need to figure out what to call this thing. I decoupaged them on and then went back with some pecan minwax polyshade to kind of age it a bit. I'll take pics soon...my computer is acting up and I'm on hubbys...I hate his!
Til next time....
