My blog, Christmas and internet

It seems like forever since I have actually blogged! Between our internet limit and arthritis I just haven't wanted to get online. The more I move the less I hurt....maybe I need a laptop and a treadmill...bet I can get a lot done then!
Britt went an got a new internet plan so we now have 10 GBs which doubles what we had, if we run out now someones just done to much! He also got the verizon mifi so we can have internet to 5 things at once but we haven't figured out how to use it yet so we still unhook from one to go to another.

I think the only resolution I have this year is to blog more. I miss it and I really miss the friendships I have formed on here. I do read your blogs still n the bb but rarely comment. Bad friend!

Chevy snoozing after all the excitement! He's as big as Drex!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We had a great one. Christmas Eve was kinda busy since we had to go to my mILs and then to my moms but it was so much fun it was worth the body being wore out! Kelly and Drex stayed with us on the 23rd and went to MILs on the 24th. Nikki and Chris had to work. We played dirty santa and I got a wrap/blanket/throw and LOVE it! Its furry on one side and red on the other. Drex got a dog that sings Jesus loves me and he loved that. I sing that song to him all the time so he knew it.

We also played Dirty Santa at my parents and there was a lot of us so it was loads of fun. I got a zebra throw and a bath and body fragrance thingy that plugs into the wall...smells good! I made hats for the nieces and nephews and they seemed to go over well.

Christmas day it was our kids and Drex's other set of grandparents at my house. We grilled and opened presents and Drex sat up for the first time! He acted like it was no big deal until we got excited and started yelling yay! and he grinned and kicked his feet and fell over. It was nice to share his first Christmas with his nana and grampa, hopefully that's something that can become a tradition.
KK and Drex chewing on their fingers, his favorite past time.

Ok I'm going to visit a few blogs and then cook supper...hoping I haven't lost any friends!!

...and then it was over.

The presents are unwrapped, paper still needs to go in the trash and the leftovers are almost gone. The tree is still up but I'll take care of that in the next day or so...looks sad to me once the presents are gone.
There is chocolate cake  on the island staring at me.....really really staring hard.... and I should eat some because I need to get serious about getting rid of this extra weight. That means soon...very soon I shall not be eating cake...chocolate cake...yummy moist chocolate cake.

I hate to be stared at......

Kelly left a couple hours ago to head back to KY. I hate...hate... HATE goodbyes. We had a wondeful Christmas and visit. Maybe tomorrow I'll get around to a longer blog but I'll leave you with a few pics and a reminder that I have 2 giveaways...4 winners and they are ending SOON! Go comment so you can get your chance in to win one of the fabulous prizes!!

Ramblings

Last night I got a text letting me know I was going to have today off. In ways that is good and in some ways...money...it is not. But I made the best of it and actually got my computer, craft, sewing, dining, everything room put to order so I can also make it into a Christmas tree room. I guess it is a multi-purpose room.

I also made a baby loveee while doing that...I am a bad multi taker but I managed to do it today for a minute.
It's a guinea pig lovee, I wanted to make sure I could do it before I actually bought fabric to make one for our new baby. I think it turned out pretty good...might do a few more before July.

I also quilted it. First time for that too. Don't pay any attention to my pepaws pajama pants.

You can see the quilting a lil better on this side.
I read where if the mom has it close to her that her scent gets on it and the baby will be calmed by that.

I worked on the holiday sign for Jaden's bonanza auction.

It's not finished yet and I need to get on it cause I have to mail it Monday.
Here's the other side.

The pics are dark...sorry.
I'm thinking about adding some sparkle to it... whatcha think?

I'm in the process of adding pics to my etsy with it being a custom order. You pick the color scheme and what you want it to say for $12.00.

Kelly is wanting one with Live Love Laugh...need to get on that.

Help me name my Dotee.

I left the opening in the wrong spot, boy it was hard to pull her right side out!

I finally made my 1st Dotee doll...she's not perfect but I did learn a lot from making her and hope to do better next time, I love her anyway.I didn't have the right material for her face so I used what I had. I do need a name for her though...so if you wanna help me name her, leave your suggestion in the comments and if I choose your name I'll send you a present. Not sure what yet...I might give you some choices and let you choose. If you'd like to meet the lady who brought us the dotee doll then click here.
Her tail needs to be tighter to her body.

I've also been making some gift tags. I thought I'd share them also....

This is my favorite, i found this tag on my closet floor, I really need to straighten up the closet. I ripped up an old Christmas card and used some tissue paper and this was the end result....I think I'll keep this one!

These are going to a swap partner from swap-bot.com. I think they are cute with there little Christmas characters. The blue one on the far left has a wreath on it, it's hard to see. The blue one at the far right has a puppy and kitten sleeping together.

These are 2 little simple one with poems on them.
I made these for my daughter, they have her inital on the black side of 3 of them. There's 3 with snowmen, she loves snowmen. The 3 with the initals also have LIVE,LOVE,LAUGH on the red side...which looks pink in these pics.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with these, they are all brown with the lil polka dots on the back and then the fronts have words on them. All of the cards are distressed.

Remember if you want a chance to win something , suggest a name for my dotee doll!!

I made my 1st Etsy purchase

I don't know why I waited so long...maybe for Christmas? Anyway, I was looking for something unique for my son-in-law and I found it at Creative Rampage, Amanda makes the coolest pendants! My SIL is a ICP fan and Amanda had a hatchet man pendant! She made it out of a dr pepper bottle top and he's going to love it...no doubt! She does beautiful work!
So go check Creative Rampage out and tell her Lisa sent you!

Also I' like to mention that my friend Sousonne has a drawing for 2 beautiful items, you don't have to be a friend to purchase a chance to win them. The chance cost only $1.50 and are well worth it. You can check her out here.
