It doesn't matter if your child is 4 or 24...when you take them to the ER they are still your baby.

At 1am my phone rang last night...it was Kelly telling me she didn't have feeling in the left side of her face and it was drooping and she was scared. Of course first thing I thought was stroke but the more I talked to her I started thinking nerves or a bug bite. She didn't wanna go to ER. I told her to put a hot rag on it and call me if anything changes.
....I go back to sleep
At 730ish AM my phone rings and scares me again. Its Nikki saying she's staying with Kel cause her face is worse, I tell her I'm on my way and call my brother. He is a paramedic and I always use his knowledge to my advantage..... He says it sounds like Bells Palsy and get her to dr before it gets worse.

So I get Kel to ER and it was the shortest time I have ever spent in the ER at our hospital. They call her to get her vitals and as soon as they hear what's wrong she's put in a wheelchair and taken to trauma and hooked up to heart monitor. I was scared but kept my composure but she cried....broke my heart that she was so scared. Within minutes the dr comes in and ask if she knows what's wrong with her and Kel laughs and says no. (Her attitude through this has been wonderful. She can't move the left side of her face, her eye won't close right, nothing taste good and she keeps calling herself crooked) I tell him we think bells palsy and he says we are right. So she gets some mega steroids and has to take 3200mg a day of another med. It can take up to 6 weeks for her to heal and it might get worse before it gets better....which it has. Her eye won't close now and her vision is blurred. We were in and out within an hour.

She's 24 but she's my baby, please keep her in your prayers.

Nuwave oven and other random things.

My mom gave me a nuwave oven today. I was wondering if anyone has one and what are your thoughts on it?
I read where you can bake, broil, fry and all kinds of things with it but I don't have the book. If you have one or know someone who does please share any info and recipes.

So Thanksgiving is Thursday! I'm eating at my MILs Thursday and then were going to my brothers Sat. I don't have to cook anything major! Yay!! I am making a pumpkin cheeseCAKE I seen online last night. I can't remember where I seen it so if it was your blog please let me know so I can give you credit. It look so good in the pics. I might make a sweet potato casserole too..yummmm. I hope everyone has a great holiday and share what your making...that special dish that your family expects.

One week and three days I will be in Branson! I'm really looking forward to this trip. Fellowship and laughing with my church ladies is always fun...shopping in Branson is fun too! I really wanna go to Silver Dollar City during this time of year one day. I hear its pretty spectacular. Have you ever gone?

I'm outta here, got to find something for supper. I hate cooking when I'm not in the mood to eat. What are you having for supper tonight?

I know I'm full of questions tonight...:)

YAY! Congrats Rhonda!

PediaLax Fiber Gummies giveaway extended!

In 2009 the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) significantly increased the recommended daily fiber intake standards, far above the previous "age plus five" rule. In fact, today's updated guidelines recommend 25 grams of fiber per day for four-year-old children. But how do we meet these requirements and get our children to eat high in fiber foods?

Now there's a delicious daily fiber supplement to help kids ages 2-11 maintain better digestive health and stay regular.* The dentist-approve, penguin-shaped, great tasting Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies are sugar-free, calorie-free, gluten-free and made with natural fruit flavors. With a recommended serving of three gummies every day, (equal to ½ cup of broccoli!), Fiber Gummies are a great way to supplement the fiber found in fruits, vegetables and other fiber-rich foods in your child’s daily diet. It’s a great solution to help bridge the gap between the American Academy of Pediatrics recommended amount of fiber and the fiber that kids actually consume in their daily diet.  Another plus... Fiber Gummies are dentist approved.

Pedia-Lax® Fiber Gummies, a delicious, sugar-free daily fiber supplement for kids ages 2-11 is excited to announce that it has been awarded the influential PTPA Media Inc.’s Seal of Approval for excellence in family products.

Consumers looking for practical, high-quality products and services can rest easy knowing that products bearing the PTPA Media “Winner” Seal are all “Parent Tested, Parent Approved™.”
As a result, the Parent Tested Parent Approved™ Seal has quickly gained recognition as an international leader in certifying consumer products for quality, effectiveness and value.

Suggested retail price is $7.99 for a bottle of 60 gummies; available at Target and Walgreens, also online and other supermarkets and retailers nationwide.

MY REVIEW
I have a nephew who has always had problem in the bathroom department, Since I don't have any small children other than Drex (and I don't think he's old enough at 3 months to eat gummies) my nephew was the one I was thinking of when I had the offer to review this product. Not only did he like the gummies (what kid doesn't) they actually worked very well! I know my mom likes that he loves the taste.

My day started out like this....

My day started out like this pic. I was in a good mood even though my stomach was queasy....again and my house canceled on me at the last minute. Britt and I were texting back and forth silly stuff. I took crazy pics and sent to the girls so they'd smile or laugh and Kelly did, outloud she says. It was mostly all good...
Then on top of my stomach hurting....which hurts because of arthritis meds my back starts aching terribly and I wouldn't take pain meds because of stomach. I pretty much ignore this.....I figure it I don't talk about it and carry on as usual it will stop. I go ahead and go to town. Help a Mrs 90 year old figure out why her phone won't work, (the cat unplugged it)Look for her cell phone...which we didn't find, go to Goodwill, (post on that coming soon) go to get my hair cut and start heading home. Before I make it home my stomachs queasy, back hurts, shingles have started AND having a fibro flare up......so I got frustrated and cried and went to bed.

Highlights of my day-
Texting and laughing with Britt
Sending goofy pic to girls so they'd laugh (I'd post it too but deleted it already)
Getting my hair cut

Getting an unexpected tweet from HrtsMakeFamilly asking how I was feeling. I appreciated her asking and told her so. Sometimes little things like that can make a person smile on a bad day. I would link to her but don't know how on bb.

Now....I'm going to bed....again. Tomorrow will be even better-

Thank you and a note to my new followers

Thank You Pictures, Images and Photos

I want to say thank you for all the kind words and encouragement I got from everyone who read this post. I still haven't called her but I will tomorrow and I won't mention what happen. I'm not mad at him and I do forgive him but I can't work there any more.

I gave my hidden honey her scarf and she LOVED it! She was so giddy and jumping up and down. We are all going to Branson the first weekend of Dec. and she said it would come in handy....it's usually COLD up there when we do our Christmas shopping. I wish I had gotten a pic of her with it. The ladies meeting was so very nice...lots of tears and laughter. If you don't have a relationship with your church family you're missing out.I cherish the women at my church.

Drex is not feeling well. His lil nose is all stuffy and Nikki was told to get some saline solution and try it at bedtime...I hope it works. He's just not himself, poor lil guy.

To my new followers!!!!! Thank you! I plan on getting around to each of you tonight to follow back and check out your blogs. Photobucket

Old men, yarn and love

I have thought long and hard about posting this and figured since I wasn't using names it would be ok. I would like your honest opinion on how you would handle it if it happen to you...

background-
I work for this elderly couple and have gotten real close to them. I know their kids and grandkids. They are in their 90's and I've been there 6 years. He is in GREAT health, he's 95 and takes a thyroid pill...that's it! Wish I was like that....health wise not 95. She just had a pacemaker and is in not so good health but better than a lot of 90 something women I know. They are Christian people...read their bibles daily...talk about God and how wicked the world and people in it have gotten. (which it has in my opinion)
I clean their house every 2 weeks and it's always been a pleasure. She is a wonderful cook and always feeds me...yum! This past Thurs. she had a hair appt and left about 30 minutes before I did. When I finished I went to Mr's chair to get me money...like always. He said How would you like to make $50 extra dollars? I have made extra money helping them do other things or deep cleaning so I ask what it was he needed and he replied Have sex with me. I was speechless...just stared at him...I honestly wasn't even sure that he said it until he said ******* won't let me do it any more. This is where I got my senses back! All I could say was NO NO NO NO...... and I was saying it as I was walking out the door. Before I shut the door he said I don't want you to be mad at me.

I left and drove to my next house crying...I was SO disappointed. You would think I would be mad but I was just hurt and disappointed. He is 95 years old! I looked at him as a surrogate grandfather!
Most people (family)are telling me to tell his wife. I don't see what purpose that is going to serve. They just celebrated being married 70 years....shes not gonna leave him and honestly I'm scared it will embarrass her and stress her and what if she has a heart attack and dies? I would always think I killed that sweet lady. I have decided to just quit...I'm going to tell her...something and I'm not sure what yet but I can't go back after that.
Just so you know this man is not senile or have anything wrong with him to excuse this.
So what would you do in this situation?

ON a happier note this is what I've been doing a lot of lately in stead of blogging....

AND...

Loving on this little boy...making memories.

Ten Thoughts Tuesday

1. Drex is staying all night. He's lying beside me sleeping right now....that's a great feeling.
2. Kelly is sick. Even though she's grown I still feel helpless and hope she feels much better soon.
3. Seems like the drama in my family is never gonna end. I remember when we NEVER had drama. I hate it! I don't get involved but it still makes my stomach hurt. 4. Drex gets his 2 shots Wednesday...that makes my stomach hurt too.
5. Last Thursday I had something happen that disappointed me so bad. Because of it I'm quitting a house I've been cleaning for almost 6 years. Still deciding on if I wanna post about it or not.
7. Might be a good post for Shell's Pour your heart out....hmmm
8. I'm making my hidden honey a hot pink and black scarf. Hoping she likes it as well as I do.
9. Looks like I won't be going on our annual Ladies Christmas trip to Branson this year. Moneys a little...lot tight.
10. I promise to get around and comment friends who have pop up comment boxes!

Wordless Wednesday *posted on his blog and now mine too ;)

Ten Thoughts Tuesday.....too early in the morning.

1. I'm sitting in the dark living room thinking about when the girls were little and would wake me up early...I'd always think when they grow up and move out I can sleep in as long as I like!

2. They are grown and living on their own and I still get out of bed around 7am....not by choice. Seems they moved out and AS moved in. Its too painful to stay in bed to long now days. *sigh*

3. Oh to go back to the days of getting up and giving Nikki (2 yrs old) a bag of cheetos, (don't judge me) lying on the couch sleeping with her and her cheetos sitting with me watching cartoons and waking up COVERED in cheetos....but at least I slept.

4. I was finding cheetos for months after that inside my couch.

5. The house is so quiet...Linzy is at school and Britt is sleeping. (I don't like him tight now) total lie...I love him dearly....just jealous.

6. I need to get dressed and go see Drex before work. I got his new hat completed so pics on his blog soon.

7. Drex's nana is visiting and soaking up some baby love. I really love her...I'm so happy Drex has grammas that get along so well. She's super sweet and probably the only woman other than my mama who knows and understands exactly what that lil boy means to me.

8. I won! A $50 gift cert to The Anniversary Rose!! My comment was chosen at Under the Table and Dreaming!! (Sorry no links, emailing this from bb and I don't know how to do them.) Google them...check them out!

9. My dad is in the hospital, he has a severe kidney infection. High power antibiotics and pain pills are curing him. Add him to your prayers please.

10. Last but not least... Rhonda I haven't purposely (spl) not read about you and thge girls...I JUST figured out on bb how to read the blog since you went private! I have to say though... Too many spiders at your place. I'm sending raid!
