A week in the life....

This has been one of those weeks! I haven't gotten to work on my piesafe/ciffrobe at all this week and I even bought myself a sander! It's the first major tool purchase just for me and I haven't had a chance to use it.
The weather has turned off cold...where did cool go? I bet we have a cold cold winter this year....with the size of our bugs...mainly the mosquitos we need a cold winter. My DH finally lit the furnace tonight, I love how it smells the first time you use it for the year. It's chili time!

There's been so much sad things happening this past week. People have no value on life any more...or so it seems. One of our local anchor ladies was beaten in her home last Monday night, she lost her fight for life Saturday night, she was only 26 years old. There has been no arrest yet, I sure hope they get this person/or people.
Today there was a shooting at one of the colleges. 2 people were killed there. It's scary times to me now days.
Ok sorry about the sad depressing talk. Sometimes you have to get the blues out and blogging is how I do it. Only I normally do it at my other blog.
The bathroom should be warmed up wnough to take a shower so I'm out of here....til next time remember to always have a smile handy.

One of many things....

This is one of many things that has kept me away from the computer lately. It's my pie safe (well that's what I'm calling it) I got it at a junk store for $85. I can't remember if I've mentioned it before or not but I've gotten some progress on it and wanted to show y'all.

I haven't done anything to the inside of it yet....I'm thinking of painting the inside a cream color or finding some retro or vintage wallpaper and papering it. I've been really busy trying to get the blue paint off of it and with the stripping and sanding my hands are to tired to really type.

This is what it's looking like right now. I have a pecan stain I'm going to put on it when I finish with the sanding part.

I think it's going to look really good in my dining room! I have my memaws old chiffrobe, (spl) I plan on doing the same thing to it when I finish this piece.

As for my mama, she's at home and doing good. Dr said it will take her a while to get her strength back up. She had a kidney infection go crazy on her....that's the only way I know how to put it. It didn't help that they gave her morphine for pain. When did they start giving morphine for any pain? I know hers was bad but I thought morphine was for dying people and people who had surgery.

I hope you guys have a great evening and I'm going to try to catch up tonight or tomorrow....promise.

TEN THOUGHT TUESDAY

1. Mama had the test ran today to see if there's a problem with her intestines. If there is and it's the large (I think) they are going to call in a surgeon. I hope nothing is wrong with either one.

2. She's been on a liquid diet and really hasn't felt like eating at all but today she made dad go get her some real food and she said if the nurse came in and tried to take it away from her
that she was going to get up and beat her a@@. She doesn't have the strength to actually do that but I think she was a little bit hungry!

3. I have some yellow mums and I think the d
eer like them cause something is eating the blooms off.

4. I have so many clothes to wash! I was goin
g to get caught up Sat. after the race but was at the hospital ever since.

5. Speaking of the race, I have lots of pics and wil
l upload them soon.

6. Ok one load down....need to put another in the washer.

7. Supper? That's a good question...a
nd I don't have an answer.

8. Kelly goes to the doctor tomorrow..... :(

9. I don't think I have 10 thoughts,my minds
on strike.

10. Don't forget to get your boobies smushed! The life you save could be your own.

This Blog...That Blog????

I really should blog here more often, only here lately with my mom in the hospital I really haven't been blogging at all. I finally got a comment! How exciting is that.....very,to me. I now know that the plant I needed an identity on is a seedum. Now I just need to do some research on it, thanks Sarah! This blog over here works so different than my other, you don't have friends over here???? I'll eventually get the hang of it.

My youngest is having marital problems....it breaks my heart to hear how sad she is. I'm not sure if it would be easier if she was closer to home or not. She lives 600 miles away and just started a new job. I know she'll be ok but it's so hard not being able to be there to hold her when she cries. Anyone got any advice on how to handle this situation?

My oldest is doing good, she's been a real help at the hospital with mama. Hopefully mama will be getting out soon....just not before she gets better!

The boy child is ...well he's almost 14 so he lives in the cave he calls his room and we see him when we have food! LOL..... He is a great kid though.

Well IF anyone reads this I hope you have a great day/night.

SEED EXCHANGE?

I'm looking for some people who are doing a seed exchange. I think this would be a cool way to get new flowers and to share the over abundance of seeds some people may have. I'm new at this site so there may be a lot of sites out there that do this and I just don't know how to go abouit finding them yet....I'm working on that though! I personally don't have many seeds to exchange right now but am willing to trade what I have for something different for my garden next year.
