Family Reunion and a WINNER!

So Saturday we had our first family reunion since my memaw passed away. Her not being thee was sad. I seen lots of cousins I haven't seen in a long time and reminisced about when we were all little and things we did and stuff we got into! It was a fun day and even though it was hot I really enjoyed myself.

ALL ABOUT MEme MONDAY: My back porch.

with MommyBrain and SupahMommy

What's your most favorite part of your home?

Is it a special reading nook?
Is it the broom closet you hide in ?
Is it your drawer pulls in the kitchen that took 34 years to re-do?
Is it your deck on a summer night?

Show us in a picture and tell us in words.

What's your most favorite part of your home.

Britt and I on swing. I love porch swings!
I look rough I had been riding 4 wheelers with the kids.

My favorite part of my house in my huge back porch my hubby built. It goes almost the length of my house and we spend lots of time out there. Sorry the pics are not the best but I haven't gotten it in shape for Spring yet and these were taken last year when Kel came home.

The girls sitting out there visiting.
Just some of my family when Kel came home.
This is the best pic I have of the porch.

Right now Britt is outside building me a sunroom....
*sigh*
 I do love that man!

It has been a hectic week...and it is not over yet!

My brother was admitted to the hospital and ended up with MRSA..bad bad stuff. He is out now,Thank you Lord! He has a way to go to get all better but I know he is happier at home than in the hospital pacing the floors. Made me a nervous wreck.

I haven't had time to blog or craft or anything...well except start on some pillows I'm making.....can't say much about that on here.

Tomorrow I am heading to Benton with the church, we'll be taking 3 kids out of every class (the ones with the highest points) to the bowling alley. I will only have 2 out of my class because the one with the highest points will be in Washington. He was a little upset but I told him Washington was way cooler than bowling and he liked that so he wasn't so sad any more.
I have 4 and 5 year olds so it ought to be entertaining at least.

I'll try to get back tomorrow and get caught up on everyones blogs!!
If your a facebook friend and have been praying for Ricky...or saw it on my blog,THANK YOU! But please don't stop. He is not out of the woods yet...just good enough to go home probably since he has not got insurance.
But I won't go there......

ALL ABOUT MEme MONDAY

It's that time again!
MEme Monday with Supah and MommyBrain!

This week is x-tra special to me cause it is as close as I'll get to one of my most favoritest show EVAH!

5 Essential MEme Items

I cannot  ( hissssss) survive without.

* on a daily basis
* on a deserted island
* with my kids in the car

We can choose which one and I choose on a daily basis because my kids are grown...well Linzy is almost 15 and not AS annoying as when they are smaller and the girls are like 23 and 26....so this one doesn't apply. I'm thinking I'd have to get on a boat to end uyp on a deserted island and I don't see that happening.

SO
5 essential items I can not survive witout on a daily basis are....

1. My husband, kids, and family. I think that's pretty self explanatory. Although I could survive without a husband I choose not to.

2. Chapstick. I have tubes of this stuff all over the house, in jacket pockets,my purse and in the winter in my car....too hot here in the summer time.I really do think it is an addiction,it could be worse.

3. My car. Not that I'm in love with it cause I'm not but I do like the idea of having transportation when ever I need or want it. I have been carless before and it is not a good feeling.

4.My cell phone. How did we live without them? I know I could survive without it but I so don't wanna find out. It is like my life line between me and my loved ones. Kelly lives 600 miles away and I talk to her every day sometimes texting all day....when I lived in Reno, some 2000 miles from my mama in the late 80's I talked to her once a week on Sundays. That is why I love love LOVE my cell phone.

5. My atenolol. Without it my heart beats too fast and skeers me.

There's 5 of mine although I could add lots more. Y'all go see Supah and MommyBrain and play along!

Crazy SAD day

I've been cleaning for this family since early 2005,in the last year and a half I have gotten close to the lady. She's only 4 years older than me and has been sick...so sick that she had to quit working and uses a cane and sometimes a walker and wheel chair. So when I go over there we would talk and laugh and even cry together. We joke and have a contest as to who is going to be a g-ma first. One of my houses you could say I looked forward to cleaning.

After a year and a half of spending thousands of $$$ and seeing tons of drs and getting poked, scanned, proded and everything imaginable she was FINALLY diagnosed with MD less than 2 weeks ago.

She has one boy that passed about 5 years ago. One that lives in Little Rock and the youngest is in Irag. This morning she called me and let me know her youngest committed suicide Monday evening in Iraq. My heart aches for her. What do you say to someone who has lost one child much less two in five years? I spent a couple hours with her this morning and was speechless...except for I'm sorry, what do you say?

Please keep our soldiers in your prayers...and their family. Please keep my friend and her family in your prayers.
