I Don't Feel Like A Grandma.....

To me grandmas are older ladies that have gray hair and are like 70+ in age. I don't even see my mama as a geandma...she's mam. I have absolutely nothing against grandmas,I actually love them. I had a wonderful one.....I just called her memaw. Me? I'm a Mimi and this Mimi can not get enough of her grandson. Britt is a Pops and he's a wonderful Pops. If Drex decides to call us something else when he gets old enough to start calling us something that is fine but until then we will stay Mimi and Pops.

He looks like a chunk in this pic but he's really not. When we took him for his 1st check up Friday he weighed 7 lbs and 6 oz. He gained all the weight back that he lost in the hospital.

Is that not a proud looking pops or what?

Yall...He smells so good.

Thank you all for bearing with me and my not forgotten blog...I'm just soaking up all I can of this boy.

you are a grandma regardless of what you feel. you have a lil soul who at many times through his life is going to think you are better than his mom, because that's just life.

I am so glad you are enjoying every minute you can with him. In some ways, this makes me all excited to be a grandma (not for 13 years or so, lol)

speaking of names, we just did grandma and grandpa with the kids

which appeared fine with the older two, then babygirl started calling my dad papa

Bubby has a mind of his own, he changes their names every 6-9 months. right now it's memaw, and pepaw, before this switch it was granma and papa

Can't hold him tight enough can you? You want to just absorb him into your skin don't you? Ahhh, grandparenting is the best thing in the world!

Oh my goodness ... I have been away from blogland far too long ... somehow I missed this ... your grandson is absolutely adorable! And I love the name - strong and cute at the same time! You look amazing for a Mimi - and I suggest you embrace it with all you've got - your youth is bound to be a major bonus when it comes to keeping up with a little one :) So happy for you and your daughter ... and Pops :) Congrats! (Sure is good to be back!)
