I love Goodwill

I went to Goodwill a few days ago and found this awesome vintage sheet. It looks like it has pink in the pic but it is really white.

It was to small to go on my bed so I made these pillow cases out of it.

It looked so summery and cool so I also made....

My Day... so far

I've been gathering things for our yard sale next week.

Some of the things from the closet for the sale.

I even got MOST of the laundry finished,days still young.

I sat and looked out over the porch my husband is building off the new room.

I watered all of the 100 lil cups with seeds in them.

I made some pins and hair clips for the sale next weekend.

These are black and gold, the school colors,hoping that will sell them.See the middle? It's a lil baseball bat,soccer,basket and football.

These are made from a breast cancer awareness bandana.


I thought this little button was darling, I got it in a swap from swap-bot last week.


I made this believe sign for the sale....and this Hope one.

I watched and listened to Daisy barking at the neighbors cause they had a big sale today and she could hear all the people over there. I also got Nikki an antique plate with pansies around the edge for 50 cents!

I also tackled the big job today. I got up this morning and wentr out to the shop to get a chicken out of the freezer, when I opened the door the most HORRIBLE smell attacked me! Come to find out Britt had thrown the breaker a week or 2 ago and totally forgot the freezer was on the breaker he threw. We lost a big bag of chicken tenderloins,about 5 birds and a turkey...could have been worse. The clean up is finished since he's home now and the freezer is airing out waiting to get new stuff.

Shingles

I have been having outbreaks of shingles as far back as the early 90's. Usually I know when they are coming and expect them. This time they kinda snuck up on me. A few days ago I had a little itching & tingling (which is a sign) and then I had like one or two pop up and not bother me much at all. Tonight all the sudden I felt the burn and it is full blown. Boom! Just like that and the most painful I have ever had.
When I first started getting them they appeared on my wrist,weird place to get them. Then they moved to my hip where they usually come up all the time now. I even had them pop up a few times on my knee. Most times they are just bothersome and uncomfortable. I am lucky with that because some people are hospitalized from the pain.

This a google picture of someones shingles...looks like a pretty bad case. Can't show you mine since they popped up on my butt cheek! They are about half as big as my hand this time. *sigh* Anyway for some reason I just felt like sharing,aren't y'all lucky?

I have this song in my head, it's found in Psalm 118:24 and we sing it in SS. My kids like it ...I think cause they can get LOUD.

I have gotten all my flowers made but not all sent. I was going to send the rest tomorrow but I'm not going into town. I get to take off, just not for a good reason. Linzy is really getting beat up with this flu and I have been really achy and a bad sore throat so I hope this tamiflu stuff works and I don't get bad like Linzy.
It has been raining for ...well too long. It's so depressing outside. Cold and wet and gloomy...I want the sun back.


Oh I have the cutest little headbands for infants and thought one of the small flowers on them would look so cute! I'm really excited about that if you can't tell.

Ok back to the sun, if you have him...send him to Arkansas please. Preferably in the Southern part of the state.

So did I mention I joined the gym? Well I did. I actually work out more since I pay for it. I have lost almost 3 lbs in almost a month and 4 half inches. Half inch in my waist,abdomen,and both calves. :) Yep I'm proud of me. I'm also learning to love the treadmill. well...maybe not love but I don't hate it any more.
Ok that is enough rambling. As for the pic...it's Kelly- :) Isn't she pretty. *giggle*

Have you read Twilight? Have you seen the movie? I haven't done either one...Yet! I did get the book TODAY on swaptree.com. Yay me! I plan on seeing the movie also...when it comes out on video, errrr make that dvd. (showing my age there)

My daughters who do not like to read have both read the series and seen the movie. My youngest (23) has seen the movies several times. Both of them worried about getting the next book before they were finish with the one they were reading. So I have to read <3>

My time

My time lately has been used up,crushed,spent and borrowed.

In the last few days I have painted,pulled up carpet,moved furniture,arranged pictures,sneezed,moved furniture,worked my regular job,moved furniture,helped...ok watched Britt work on deck, vacuumed, vacuumed,washed clothes,vacuumed,swept,sneezed,moved furniture,swept again,sneezed some more and now I'm borrowing time to blog some pictures and ask for p.i.t.y. The rooms are not finished yet...I still need to hang mnore pictures and maybe move some more furniture....God forbid.
Ok I added all the pics then they DISAPPEARED! I'm going to go sdd them to the home imp. album if any ones interested....give me a few minutes.

Then I thought well hardly anyone commented on BOTH blogs so I'll send one to all who said enter me ,or count me in please or something like that with the exception of my brother Mark. I just don't think one of these flowers will look good on him. no no no.
