1. I'm hoping to get to blog more often than I have been in the last ...year?...I miss blogging like I use to do it. I would blog every day about something going on. I'm going to try to get back to that "therapy."

2. Wednesday Drex goes to the Dr for his 2 week check up. He seems to be doing really well. He has grown a lot since he was born and I think his mama wants to slow him down. She gets to stay home with him until Sept. 25th I know it's going to be so hard to go back to work.

3. Kelly starts working today as a secretary for a construction company. She also may be going back to Kentucky. I would be lying if I said I was excited about that but she has to choose what she wants to do and I can't tell her what to do. :( (If your reading this I am not trying to make you feel bad) Whatever she chooses I just want her to be happy.

4. Drex acts like he forgets how to latch on...any advice? I never breast fed so I'm at a loss as to what to tell Nikki. We will be asking his dr about it on Wed.

5. If you have been reading for a long time (Oka,Rhonda) you might  remember a young lady I use to take to school back when I was volunteering at my church,Alex is her name. She recently moved back into town and is living with Kelly. Her family lived in my neck of the woods and went to my church. Well her brother was in a car wreck last week and is in ICU with a badly damaged body. He is in a coma and the drs. are not really giving much hope for him to survive. I know he's having a hard time with his temp rising right now and they are worried about that. Today it's 104+ and I guess it's just a waiting thing. If you pray will you please remember JJ in your prayers?
Alex and I earlier this year at graduation

6. Drex was 14 days old on Monday....that time has passed so very fast! He lost his cord the other night and his mama texted me to let me know. She said "He's growing up to fast!" HAHA! *she has no idea how fast they grow up.*

7. It's been so hot this year! Our heat index today (Monday) was 104 and it felt like every degree. My plants were happy though because it rained HARD yesterday afternoon. I loved it!

8. I'm getting hungry and running out of thoughts......

9. I have contacted several companies recently and hope to have some new giveaways coming up soon.

10. I think I'm going to have some tomato soup with rotel tomatoes and cheetos...I don't even care about the calories right now since I haven't ate all day!
Yall have a wonderful day!!

Tomato soup and cheetos would work for me any day of the week!

I hope Kelly decides to do whatever is best in the long run for her.

Drex is already 2 weeks old? Oh my!~

My grandson has latching issues as well. Daughter wound up having to use a nipple shield. You might want to visit the lactation nurse at Baptist. It costs $50.00 for the visit, but she has a lot of knowledge and can be a lot of help. The day we were there however, little man had no trouble at all. Figures. If you want to discuss some of what she told us, email or message me on facebook.

I'm the wrong person to ask about breast feeding. If it wasn't one thing, it was another. I think the longest I got was 4 weeks. At first, I let people make me feel like a failure. Now I could kick myself in the butt for doing that. I realize breast fed is best, but it's not the end of the world or my child's life if it doesn't happen.

I think I might do a TTT, I haven't done one in forever and I am too lazy to make post its.

I haven't been blogging as much as I used to either. Not really sure why because I love it.

I have to agree; those babies grow way too fast. Tell Nikki not to blink. No tips on breast feeding. I tried with Melanie and I guess I must have been doing something wrong because she never took to it. So I bottle fed all of mine.

No!!! Kelly can't leave now! You just got her back. :0(

I will be praying for Alex's brother. Such a sad story. It breaks my heart.

We have been having a heatwave here so when that rain came in we were very thankful. Even though I am terrified of lightning, I was very thankful that it cooled things off.

I love tomato soup but have never tried it with Cheetos. Something that I will HAVE to try one day.

Praying for your friend! I've never had tomato soup w/ cheetos ... but I do love both! Just never seem to have both in the house at the same time, I guess.

I am praying for JJ...how incredibly sad!

I can't believe Drex is almost 2 weeks old...time flies!

...and for Kelly, she has to follow her heart and gut. As much as it is hard on us moms, we have to let them be adults...huh?

sending prayers for Alex's brother. I hope a miracle happens...

Little Drex is adorable :-) at least it's "cute poop" at this age when you get pooped on!
